Easy Trifle Recipe

This recipe is a simple and refreshing way to incorporate cookies into your 4th of July celebration. Feel free to adjust the quantities and layers according to your preferences and the size of your serving dish. Happy 4th of July!

Ingredients

  • 12-15 Tubby's Taste cookies (any flavor pairs well!)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups non-dairy whipped cream or non-dairy whipped topping

Instructions

  • Break the cookies into small pieces. You can either crumble them by hand or use a food processor to pulse them until they are coarsely crushed.
  • In a clear glass bowl or individual serving glasses, layer half of the cookie crumbs at the bottom.
  • Add a layer of sliced strawberries on top of the cookie crumbs.
  • Next, add a layer of whipped cream or whipped topping. You can sweeten the whipped cream by adding organic powdered sugar if desired.
  • Create another layer using the remaining cookie crumbs.
  • Add a layer of fresh blueberries on top of the cookie crumbs.
  • Finish by topping it off with another layer of whipped cream or whipped topping.
  • Garnish with a few extra blueberries, strawberries, and mint leaves for a festive touch.
  • Refrigerate the trifle for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together and the cookies to soften slightly.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy this delicious red, white, and blue treat!
