A tropical twist to a holiday favorite! Sorrel is a Caribbean Christmas time drink. It’s usually made well in advance and served at parties. Sorrel also known as Roselle, is a Hibiscus like flower that is steeped like a tea and then flavored with spices. A lot of people make it differently. I hope you get to celebrate something soon with one of these cookies!

INGREDIENTS: Organic unbleached wheat flour; organic cane sugar; organic brown sugar (sugar, cane molasses); organic virgin coconut oil; water; whole grain rolled oats; pineapple, pineapple juice and citric acid; dried hibiscus flowers; organic cold milled flaxseed; lemon extract; baking soda; baking powder; ground ginger; crystallized grapefruit [citric acid, grapefruit oil, grapefruit juice]; organic lime juice; and salt.

Fruity, floral, and refreshing!

These cookies were so unique, and like nothing I’ve tasted before. They were sweet, but not overly, and didn’t feel heavy either because of the citrus and floral notes. I loved the thin layer of jam too!

Heavenly

The flavors are amazing! It’s fruity and delicately sweet. The hibiscus reminds me of Mom. I feel comforted and satisfied ever time I eat one.
